I have studied acting for over 20 years, with the last 7 focused on directing and producing. During my acting years I studied several different disciplines including Stanislavsky as well as the Meisner technique. Although the majority of my acting is now in film, my start was in theater. Studying with teachers who were primarily involved in theater and guiding me to several theater companies to get "my feet wet". There is a difference in theater acting vs. acting for a camera. It is a skill that not many teach but it is necessary in order for an individual to portray a role truthfully but still fit the medium they are performing in.
